The Sierra
Nevada de Santa Marta is a mountain in northern Colombia which has a
maximum height of 5.8 km and a positive Bouguer gravity anomaly of about 150 Mgal.
This suggest that the mountain is not under isostatic equilibrium. This
research investigates if the observations can be explained through lithospheric
dripping using 2D numerical models in ASPECT 2.2.
